BF6 Sniper Quick Hack: Auto-Zero + Auto-Steady on Right-Click (No Mods)

Updated: 59 minutes ago

Want your scope to auto-zero and hold breath the instant you aim? You can bind both to the Right Mouse Button in Battlefield 6 on PC—no mods, no gimmicks. It’s the fastest way to land long shots without juggling extra keys.

The Quick Answer

Bind Rangefinder/Zeroing and Steady Scope to the Right Mouse Button (RMB). When you ADS, BF6 will zero the scope and steady it automatically. Release the RMB to stop.

Here is a detailed video, or you can continue reading.

Why This Works (and Why It’s Good)

  • Fewer keypresses under pressure. One finger does it all.

  • Steadier reticle at long range. Cleaner glass, less wobble, more headshots.

  • Faster follow-ups. Less mental overhead = more kills, especially on DMRs and bolt-actions.

  • No third-party junk. 100% in-game settings—safe for anti-cheat and servers.

If you snipe a lot (or run a DMR), this is a straight buff to consistency without changing your playstyle.

Pro Tips

  • Don’t over-zero. If you like Kentucky windage/holdover, you can still do it—just tap to ADS and shoot quickly so you’re not constantly re-zeroing.

  • Vehicle scopes differ. This guide targets Infantry/Passenger keybinds. Vehicles may have separate bindings and behavior.

  • Controller players: This exact trick is for mouse/keyboard. Pads have different mapping limits.

  • Breath time is finite. You still need rhythm—ADS, shoot, release, re-acquire.

  • Conflicts: If you previously put RMB on any oddball action, BF6 will warn you. Click Bind Anyway, then unbind duplicates you don’t want.

Troubleshooting

“Bind Anyway” keeps popping up. That’s normal—it’s BF6 telling you RMB already does ADS. You’re stacking actions on the same button. Approve it.

My scope feels off after a few shots. You’re probably re-zeroing at a new distance each ADS. Either commit to the new range or disable zeroing temporarily and use holdover.

Works in infantry but not elsewhere. Double-check you changed it under Infantry/Passenger Keybinds, not only the global tab. Some categories hold their own binds.

I need to revert. Go back to the same menu and remove RMB from Rangefinder/Zeroing and/or Steady Scope, or hit Reset for that category.

Who Should Use This

  • Snipers/DMRs: Big win at mid-to-long range.

  • Objective anchors: Pop heads while holding lanes with minimum finger gymnastics.

  • Anyone who panics under pressure: One button = less fumbling = more precision.

TL;DR (Copy-Ready)

  • Path: Settings → Mouse & Keyboard → Infantry/Passenger Keybinds

  • Bind: Rangefinder/Zeroing = RMB (Bind Anyway)

  • Bind: Steady Scope = RMB (Bind Anyway)

  • Result: Aim = auto-zero + auto-steady. Release the RMB to stop.
